For me it could have been Quaffers Theatre Restaurant in 1992, with this intimate venue, I was transported back in time.
The timpani hit that note and shivers went down my spine. >Michael Alexander's fanfare of Goldfinger followed and Carolyn entered to Diamonds are forever. It was spookily entrancing and equally thrilling. I was on the front row and was amazed at Carolyn's vocal prowess, it takes a lot of work to create that Bassey voice, Carolyn managed it with ease.
The numbers were expertly executed. Carolyn's voice, very powerful. Her eyes for me did it and in "Born to Lose" I could have been at Blackpool Opera house in the 90s. If you can see Carolyn as DSB go and watch her, it's a super night out to hear those beautiful songs; it is a DSB concert. Gowns and hair super, but I went for the music and Carolyn hit all the money notes for me

I attended a concert performance by Carolyn Rowe as DSB I have to say that the overall effect was simply stunning.
Once you put the vocals together with the stage persona, the dresses, the mannerisms (not just the hands but the walk and the eyes too) plus of course the music we all know so well, it is easy to be carried away in "belief".
I certainly enjoyed the evening.

A great show from Carolyn (and her musicians) and with some of the esteemed DSB "superfans" in attendance too, the whole effect was enhanced with the presentation of bouquets ... just like the real thing!!
Hopefully, news of further forthcoming concerts will filter through to us here. It really is a wonderful show and well worth going to see. Carolyn received a standing ovation from sections of the audience (and not just from the diehard DSB fans amongst us either). Comments I overheard after the show were nothing but complimentary.

I flew in to see Miss Rowe perform .What a wonderful evening had by all. Friends of mine had been to see her, and said how fantastic the show was. All I can say is the trip was worth making. Her vocals were truly impressive , mannerisms spot on to. The band is extremely gifted, not forgetting those beautifully crafted costumes (how I would love to have a dress made for me by her designer,
